    Constitutional and Legislative Issues Committee Chairman Meets with Head of Council of Europe Office Serbia

    The Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues Djordje Komlenski briefed the Head of Council of Europe Office Serbia Tobias Flessenkemper on the National Assembly’s next steps and procedures following the sitting where the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues ascertained that the Proposal to Amend the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, submitted by the Government, was submitted by the party authorised by the Constitution in a timely manner and proper form.

    Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality Committee Members Meet with Head of Council of Europe Office Serbia Tobias Flessenkemper

    Ljiljana Malusic, member of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality, briefed Flessenkemper on the Committee’s scope, saying that it had been very active on promoting human and minority rights, especially those of the most vulnerable categories – the elderly, women, children, Roma and the LGBT community. She mentioned the amendments to the law that resulted in a decrease in domestic violence and violence against women.

    SEECP PA Plenary Session

    The National Assembly’s standing delegation to the South East Europe Cooperation Process Parliamentary Assembly (SEECP PA), took part in the organization’s 6th plenary session, held on 21-22 June 2019 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The National Assembly’s delegation comprised Dr Sci.med Darko Laketic and Marko Parezanovic. The SEECP PA plenary is the main event of the parliamentary dimension of the Bosnian Chairmanship of SEECP, which formally ends with a meeting of foreign ministers and summit of heads of states and governments in Sarajevo on 8-9 July 2019.

    The European affairs committees of the Visegrad Group (V4) member states met on 17 June 2019 in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. A National Assembly delegation comprising Nenad Canak, Vesna Markovic and Dubravka Filipovski took part in the meeting that was also attended by Serbian Ambassador to Slovakia Momcilo Babic.
