National Assembly Deputy Speaker
The National Assembly Deputy Speaker assists the National Assembly Speaker in performing the duties within his/her purview and substitutes him/her in case of temporary inability to work, or absence, as stipulated by the Rules of Procedure. The National Assembly determines the number of Deputy Speakers by a special decree. Articles 20 through 23 of the Law on the National Assembly regulate the election and termination of office of National Assembly Deputy Speaker.
At the First (constituting) sitting of the National Assembly, on June 26, 2008, Natasa Jovanovic and Bozidar Delic, Serbian Radical Party MPs, Nikola Novakovic, G17 Plus MP, Radojko Obradovic, Democratic Party of Serbia MP, Judita Popovic, Liberal Democratic Party MP and Gordana Comic, Democratic Party MP, were elected National Assembly Deputy Speakers.
