Newly-elected judicial officials take oath of office
Three judges and nine assistant public prosecutors, elected at the Fourth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2006, today took the oath of office before the National Assembly Chairman, Predrag Markovic.

Fifth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2006
The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, convened the Fifth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2006 for Wednesday 19 July, at the request of 92 deputies, who had established the following agenda:1. Bill Repealing the Police Academy Act, proposed by the Government; and 2. Bill Ratifying the Agreement Between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Montenegro Regulating Membership in International Financial Organisations and Defining Financial Rights and Obligations, proposed by the Government.

78th sitting of the Administrative Committee
At a brief sitting held on 19 July, the Administrative Committee proposed that the National Assembly should note that the mandate of Dr Miroslav Nedeljkovic, elected from the Serbian Radical Party – Dr Vojislav Seselj Electoral List, had terminated before the expiry of the term to which he had been elected, due to his death.

63rd sitting of the Privatisation Committee
At its sixty-third sitting, held on 17 July 2006, the Privatisation Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Report of the Ministry of the Economy on activities of the Privatisation Agency for June 2006, and the PA’s Programme of Activities for July 2006.The Privatisation Committee adopted the Report of the Ministry of the Economy on activities of the Share Fund of the Republic of Serbia for June 2006. Two proposals were also adopted for resolving the situation at a company where privatisation contracts are about to be terminated before transfer to the Share Fund, as well as for another company where appointment of ‘capital representatives’ has proven difficult.
