When does the effect of a law cease?
Most often, a law ceases to be in effect once a new law that regulates the same area is adopted.
A law also ceases to be in effect (individual provisions of the law) on the basis of a decision of the Constitutional Court. In this case, only certain provisions of the law may become ineffective.
A law also ceases to be in effect after the expiration of the period for which it has been adopted. If it only regulates a specific situation, specific relations, or activities that are not going to be repeated, a law can cease to be in effect once it has been executed (for example, Law on Consolidation, etc.).
