Birth of a law


How is a law promulgated?

Once a law is adopted, the National Assembly forwards it to the President of the Republic who issues a decree on promulgation within a period of fifteen days from the day of adoption. If the law was adopted by urgent procedure, this must be done within a period of seven days.

  • 17.45 - the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues meet with the delegation of rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Monitoring Committee (National Assembly Building, 14 Kralja Milana Street, Blue Salon)
