First Sitting of the Children’s Rights Working Group

The first sitting of the Childrenâ€™s Rights Working Group, held on 12 March, was convened by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, pursuant to articles 77 and 78 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure. The decision on the creation of the Working Group was adopted previously by the Poverty Reduction Committee at the sitting held on 9 March.

Seventh Sitting of the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia

The Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia held its seventh sitting on 10 March. The sitting was chaired by the Committee Deputy Chairman Aleksandar Cotric, and attended by the State Secretary and Assistant Minister of the Ministry for the Diaspora, Predrag Tojic and Vukman Krivokuca, as well as the president of the Serbian Emigrant Society, Radivoj Dabic and associates.

Fourth Sitting of the Committee on Science and Technological Development

At the sitting held on 10 March, the Committee on Science and Technological Development considered the bills on the confirmation of: the Strasbourg Agreement Concerning the International Patent Classification of March 24, 1971, as amended on September 28 ,1979, the Agreement Establishing an International Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks, drafted in Vienna on June 12, 1973, as amended on October 1, 1985 and the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs, adopted by the Diplomatic Conference on July 2, 1999.The bills were outlined by a representative of the Intellectual Property Office who stressed that the confirmation of these agreements is a pre-condition for Serbia’s approach to the European Union.
