Sixty-Eighth Sitting of the Justice and Administration Committee
At the sitting held on 17 March, the Justice and Administration Committee considered the Nominations for elective members of the State Prosecutors Council from the ranks of public prosecutors and deputy public prosecutors with permanent position, submitted by the State Prosecutors Council and Nominations for elective members of the permanent composition of the High Judicial Council from the ranks of judges, submitted by the High Judicial Council.

Ombudsman Submits 2010 Annual Report
Ombudsman Sasa Jankovic submitted the 2010 Annual Report to the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic. This is the fourth report since the election of the Ombudsman and the establishment of said authority in the Republic of Serbia. Jankovic informed the NARS Speaker that approximately 8500 citizens approached the Ombudsman in 2010, that over 2600 formal complaints were filed, 925 new proceedings to investigate the legitimacy and regularity of the work of public administration authorities were launched, proceedings were completed in over 1900 cases and 90 recommendations were implemented to remedy flaws and improve work.

Thirty-Eighth Sitting of the Committee on Defense and Security
At the sitting held on 14 March, the Committee on Defense and Security considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia on extradition and acceptance of persons of illegal entry or residence with Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia on the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia extradition and acceptance of persons of illegal entry or residence, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia regulating border traffic regime and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Police Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, submitted by the Government, in principle.
