Gojkovic and Chairman of Chinese National People's Congress
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic met today with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Dejiang, launching his three-day official visit to Serbia, and on the occasion highlighted the comprehensive strategic partnership-level relations between Serbia and China and their firm friendship.

Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality Committee Chairman Speaks Out on Domestic Violence in Social Work Centres
The last two fatal cases that happened in social work centres are the consequence of long-standing domestic violence. In both cases the perpetrators already had police records and were convicted of different crimes. Still, their intention and plan to perpetrate violence had not been recognized and prevented on time.

26th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues
At the sitting held on 13 July 2017, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues reviewed the resignation tendered to the post of MP by Branko Ruzic. The Committee ascertained that the resignation tendered by MP Branko Ruzic falls within the situation set out in article 88, paragraph 1, item 2 of the Law on Election of MPs according to which resignation is listed as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the expiry of the term they were elected for, thus proposing that the National Assembly note the termination of the abovementioned MP’s term of office.
