    NARS Speaker Receives PACE Monitoring Committee co-Rapporteurs

    The Speaker of the National Assembly, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly for Serbia Davit Harutyunyan (Armenia) and Sinikka Hurskainen (Finland), in official visit to the Republic of Serbia from 29 November to 2 December 2010. The Speaker informed the guests that Serbia was concentrating its efforts on meeting all the requirements set out in the “roadmap” agreed on with the Council of Europe.

    National Assembly Speaker Sends Message to Serbian Citizens

    On the International Day for Tolerance, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic sent a message to all the citizens of Serbia saying that tolerance is the way to be human and accept, honour and respect the wealth of differences. We should not allow ourselves or others to disrespect the fact that every human being with a different system of values, beliefs and behaviour has the right to live in peace and be itself.
