NARS Speaker’s Opening Address at 47th Regular Annual Conference of the Serbian Association for Criminal Law Theory and Practice
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, gave an opening address at 47th regular annual Conference of the Serbian Association for Criminal Law Theory and Practice titled Serbian criminal legislation and European Union standards, held on Zlatibor today.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Takes Oath of Office Before NARS Speaker
Ljubica Obradovic, Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Sombor Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office, elected into office on 28 July 2010 at the proposal of the State Prosecutors Council, took the oath of office before the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic on Thursday 23 September 2010. Obradovic took the oath at a later date as she was unable to attend the oath taking ceremony along with the other deputy public prosecutors elected at the sitting of the Fifth Extraordinary NARS Session held on 28 July 2010. On the occasion, the NARS Speaker stated: “I am sure that during your term of office as Deputy Public Prosecutor your expertise, competence and merit shall contribute to the continued thorough reform of the judicial system in the Republic of Serbia”.

NARS Speaker Extends Condolences to Slovenian National Assembly Speaker
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, sent a telegram of condolences to Slovenian National Assembly Speaker Pavel Gantar, on the floods that have claimed two lives and endangered a large part of the territory of the Republic of Slovenia.

NARS Speaker Receives Belgrade Archbishop Monsignor Stanislav Hocevar
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received today the Archbishop of Belgrade, Monsignor Stanislav Hocevar, at his request, so that he might present the proposals regarding the organisation of the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan in 2013.Both sides were pleased that this significant jubilee would be commemorated in Serbia.

NARS Speaker Receives Serbian Chess Team
Today at the National Assembly House, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received a delegation of the Serbian Chess Federation which is to take part in the 39th Chess Olympics. The Olympics will be held from 19 September to 4 October in Siberia (Russia).

Zajecar Basic Court Judge Takes Oath of Office Before NARS Speaker
Judge Ivana Dinic of Zajecar, elected into office on 28 July 2010 at the proposal of the High Judicial Council, took the oath of office before the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic on Thursday 9 September 2010. Dinic took the oath at a later date as she was unable to attend the oath taking ceremony along with the other special and general jurisdiction judges elected at the sitting of the Fifth Extraordinary NARS Session held on 28 July 2010. On the occasion, the NARS Speaker stated: “I am sure that in your three years in office at a general jurisdiction court you shall give a personal contribution to the continued reform of the judicial system intended to create an independent, modern and efficient judiciary and promote the rule of law”.
