NARS Speaker Receives PACE Monitoring Committee co-Rapporteurs
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly for Serbia Davit Harutyunyan (Armenia) and Sinikka Hurskainen (Finland), in official visit to the Republic of Serbia from 29 November to 2 December 2010. The Speaker informed the guests that Serbia was concentrating its efforts on meeting all the requirements set out in the “roadmap” agreed on with the Council of Europe.

Thirty-Eighth Sitting of the Committee on Health and the Family
The Committee on Health and the Family held its thirty-eighth sitting on 1 December 2010. The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Paja Momcilov, and attended by State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Dr Perisa Simonovic, Assistant Minister of Health Zorica Pavlovic, representatives of the Serbian Medical Chamber, Serbian Pharmaceutical Chamber, Serbian Chamber of Biochemists, Serbian Dentistry Chamber, Association of Private Doctors of Serbia and Club Health.

Twenty-Fifth Sitting of the Privatisation Committee
At the sitting held on 1 December, the Privatisation Committee considered and accepted the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Reports on the Activities of the Privatisation Agency for September and October 2010.On the occasion, the Committee recommended to the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development and the Privatisation Agency that part of the Automobile Factory Priboj (FAP) operating in Prijepolje should be privatised separately as the negotiations with the Chinese firm on the privatisation of the entire company had not come to a successful completion.

Thirty-First Sitting of the Agriculture Committee
At the sitting held on 1 December, the members of the Agriculture Committee considered the Bills on the Confirmation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Argentina in the sphere of veterinary medicine; on the Confirmation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt on veterinary cooperation; on the Confirmation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Tunisia in the sphere of veterinary medicine and on the Confirmation of the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement in the sphere of agriculture between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Tunisia.
