The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic convened the Eighth Special Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for Thursday, 15 June, bearing one item on the agenda - Norbert Lammert, President of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany, to address the National Assembly.

MP Vesna Markovic Meets with Former Hanns Seidel Foundation Scholars
In the course of her meeting with a number of former Hanns Seidel Foundation scholars at the National Assembly Building today, MP Vesna Markovic stressed that Serbia’s chief foreign policy objective is EU accession and that Germany’s support in the field of judiciary reform and economic cooperation has proven invaluable. Markovic also emphasized the importance of EU enlargement not just for the stability of the Western Balkans, but for the entire European Union.

Members of Three National Assembly Committees Meet with NATO PA Delegation
The delegation of the NATO PA Economics and Security Committee and Sub-Committee on Transition and Development visiting Serbia had a joint meeting at the National Assembly with the Head of the National Assembly delegation to the NATO PA and the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending, Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy and the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee.
