National Assembly Chairman visits Securities and Exchange Commission
At the invitation of the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Milko Stimac, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, today visited the Commission and was informed of its activities so far, as well as results of the development of the stock market, and plans for the coming year.

National Assembly Chairman opens two-day European Conference on Palliative Care
Belgrade’s Hyatt Hotel was today the venue for the opening of the two-day European Conference on Palliative Care, held under the slogan “Less suffering, more dignity… a better quality of life,” and organised by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Council of Europe.

Chairman Markovic opens 43rd annual Oplenac Harvest and 33rd annual Topola Popular Traditions Fair
In order to promote regional characteristics of various parts of Serbia, and support and encourage the culture of ethnic communities, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, attended ceremonies to mark the opening of the 43rd Oplenac Harvest, held under the slogan “Harvest in the Heart of Serbia”, and the 33rd Popular Traditions Fair in Topola.

National Assembly Chairman visits Eastern, Southern and Western Serbia
As part of preparations for European integration and creating preconditions for more substantial investments in Serbia, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, and the chairperson of the European Integrations Committee of the National Assembly, Ksenija Milivojevic, visited several towns in Eastern and Southern Serbia on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 September 2005.Mr Markovic began his tour of less developed Serbian regions, designed to acquaint him with their tourist and industrial resources, by visiting Golubac, Donji Milanovac, Tekija and Kladovo, where he learned more about the tourist potential of the Djerdap region.
