National Assembly Standing Delegation at 49th Meeting of PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee

Milija Miletic, member of the National Assembly standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), is talking part in the 49th meeting of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee in Tirana, Albania, 19-20 October.

In addition to Serbia the meeting is also attended by the delegations of Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Armenia, Greece, Moldova, Russian Federation, Romania and Turkey.

The topic of the meeting is “Developing a system of innovation in the BSEC member states”, and the Committee approved the recommendation and report on the topic to be adopted at the 50th PABSEC General Assembly in Kyiv in November. The parliamentarians emphasized the importance of the economic development of the BSEC member states, as well as investment and innovation, and urged for the avoidance of double taxation.

At the gathering the Serbian delegation made many bilateral contacts and with the Russian delegation to PABSEC affirmed the excellent and developed relations between the two countries. The next meeting of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee will be in Baku, 14-15 March 2018 with the topic “Developmental prospects of digital economy in the BSEC member states”.
