Snezana Paunovic


Biography

Born in 1975 in Pec. Bachelor of Economics.

Between 2006-2013, she held the position of Coordinator of the Djakovica Municipal Assembly and Decane Municipal Assembly to which she was appointed on two occasions by Decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Since 2014, she has been the acting director of Pec Pharmacy. 

She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Development Agency, member of the Board of Directors of "YUQS", president of the "Nikola Tesla" Airport Supervisory Board and member of the Serbian State Lottery Shareholders’ Assembly.

She was elected to the post of MP in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for the first time in 2013.

She is one of the founders of the Women's Parliamentary Network and an active member of this parliamentary forum. She was a member of a number of parliamentary delegations at international conferences and forums.

In the previous, her third term of office, she held the post of Deputy Head of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) Parliamentary Group and was a member of the standing delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Japan.

She was the Deputy Chairperson of the Culture and Information Committee, member of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy and deputy member of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee and the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija.

She has been a member of the Socialist Party of Serbia since 1992.

For several terms, she was a member of the Socialist Party of Serbia Main Board and since 2012 she has been the secretary of the Serbian Women's Forum. Since 2017, she has been serving as a member of the SPS Presidency.
