National Assembly Speaker Meets with Mexican Ambassador

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic met today with Mexican Ambassador to Serbia Carlos Felix Corona.

The officials stressed that this year’s 78th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Mexico is a fitting symbol of the long friendship and successful cooperation between the two countries.

Expressing satisfaction with the parliamentary cooperation so far, they also expressed a wish to improve it further. They officials went on to underlined the potential for strengthening economic cooperation, with the Mexican side sharing its interest in using Serbia’s expert technological capacities in the fields of agriculture, healthcare and industry.

Speaker Brnabic thanked Mexico for its support in the process of candidacy for the EXPO 2027 Specialised International Exhibition, stressing that it offer be an excellent opportunity to promote the country as well as attract tourists and investors.

At the friendly meeting, both sides expressed a wish to further strengthen bilateral relations and hope that the cooperation between the two countries would continue to develop in all areas of common interest.

The Ambassador wholeheartedly congratulated Speaker Brnabic on assuming her new post, adding he was certain her contribution would prove successful for both countries, and proceeded to deliver the letter of congratulations of Mexican Senate President Ana Rivera.
