The topic of the 20th Conference, held in light of the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan, will be “State, church, society and historic lessons and perspectives”. The Conference is traditionally attended by a great many representatives of the Christian Orthodox establishment. 20 delegations from around the world will be presented at this year’s Conference.
Alexeev thanked the National Assembly Speaker for finding the time to meet with him and decide when the Conference would be held, saying he hoped his obligations would allow him to attend it. Stefanovic confirmed that he would attend adding that he was sure a number of MPs would also attend the Unity Foundation Conference. He thanked him for the visit, saying it was his pleasure to spend his time on such an important topic which deepens and strengthens the ties between Russia and Serbia throughout their intertwined history, culture and faith. He also underlined the importance of the topic of the Conference not only in light of the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan, but in light or all geo-strategic happenings in Europe.
Presenting the Unity Foundation’s magazine to the National Assembly Speaker, Alexeev said each issue has a section dedicated to Serbia which testifies to the importance they place on the country. On the occasion, Alexeev asked the National Assembly Speaker to give an interview to the magazine. Stefanovic thanked Alexeev and accepted the interview which will put him among the most prominent personalities of Serbia’s clerical and state top who spoke for the magazine.
