Stefanovic told the foreign investors that Serbia would create normal conditions for the economy and setting up of enterprises, and that no one may ask them for money in exchange for setting up business in Serbia. The Assembly Speaker stressed that Serbia’s priorities are employment, business activities and fight against crime and corruption, adding that foreign investors would help Serbia move forward faster, toward the European Union.
“It is essential to create a partnership between the state and the economy, to promote cooperation and pass better legislation, if necessary, as the development of small and medium sized enterprises is important for Serbia. Small and medium sized enterprises are an important social structure, the most efficient segment of the economy”, said Stefanovic.
The Parliament Speaker said that the International Congress on Small and Medium Sized Enterprises offers the opportunity to share experiences and find ways to finance small and medium sized enterprises which would improve their operation.
