National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gordana Comic Opens Children’s Artwork Exhibition at National Assembly

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gordana Comic opened an exhibition of children’s artwork at the National Assembly House today, to mark Universal Children's Day. The exhibition comprises the artwork painted at the National Assembly House as part of the "Chalk Drawing from Imagination” event held on 8 October to commemorate Children’s Week.

Greeting the children, Deputy Speaker Comic told them that they differ from adults by being unashamed of their imagination and was greatly pleased at the fact that the National Assembly was the place where the artwork was created and exhibited.

On the occasion, the children exhibited more than their painting talent by reciting poetry, singing and dancing.

After the exhibition was opened, Deputy Speaker Comic and professor of the Faculty of Applied Arts Marko Ladjusic awarded the eight best works by young artists.

The exhibition was organised by the "Children of Palilula”, and the children’s artwork will be on display at the National Assembly until 26 November 2011.
