Speaking of the traditionally good relations between the two countries, the Ambassador of DPR Korea said that Serbia has his country’s full support as regards its territorial integrity and the status of Kosovo-Metohija, adding that that stance would not change in the future.

H.E. Ri Pyong Du said that this year marks 70 years of diplomatic relations between Serbia and DPR Korea and opined that the establishment of friendship groups in both parliaments would prove mutually beneficial, which Obradovic agreed with.

Obradovic thanked DPR Korea for its principled stance on the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo-Metohija adding that respecting any country’s territorial integrity, Serbia included, and not recognizing the so-called independence of Kosovo actually means respecting international law, which is the prerequisite for peace and security in the world.

At the end of the meeting, the officials concluded that reciprocal parliamentary visits would contribute to the improvement of overall bilateral cooperation.
