On 5 December 2024, the Security Services Control Committee held its fifth sitting, closed to the public.
At the sitting, the Committee considered and adopted Military Intelligence Agency regular activity reports covering the period 1 October 2023 - 30 September 2024.
The members of the Committee gave a positive assessment of the Military Intelligence Agency’s reports, indicating that they provide insight into the Military Intelligence Agency’s work and results in the reporting period in a comprehensive and complete manner.
The reports were presented by the Director of the Military Intelligence Agency, who provided the Committee members with detailed answers to questions and clarifications related to the reports.
It was established that during the reporting period, the Military Intelligence Agency timely had reported on global and regional challenges, risks and threats and informed competent users about other phenomena significant for the security of the Republic of Serbia, as well as performed all tasks within its jurisdiction in accordance with valid positive legal regulations, in the interest of protecting the security of the Republic of Serbia and all its citizens.
Interagency cooperation was praised, as well as the cooperation of the Military Intelligence Agency with other state bodies and it was noted that this type of cooperation contributes to the timely detection of risks to the security of the Republic of Serbia and the timely undertaking of effective measures to eliminate them.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Igor Becic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Jasmina Obradovic, Radoslav Milojicic, Miroslav Aleksic, Tomislav Jankovic, Jasmina Karanac and Ugljesa Markovic.
