48th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending

At the sitting held on 23 May, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending interviewed the candidates for the election of four members of the Republic Commission for Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures.

Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic informed the Committee members that the Committee’s Working Group had tested the candidates on 16 April and the following candidates had completed the test with a sufficient number of points: Veljko Borota, Zeljko Groseta, Vesna Stankovic, Branislav Cvetkovic, Vesna Gojkovic Milin and Slavisa Milosevic.

Following the interview the Committee members ascertained the Proposal of the Decision on the election of four members of the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures and nominated Vesna Gojkovic Milin, Zeljko Groseta, Vesna Stankovic and Slavisa Milosevic.

The Committee also decided to forward the Decision Proposal to the National Assembly by urgent procedure, pursuant to Article 167 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

The Committee was then presented project SIGMA “Developing effective working relationships between supreme auditing institutions and parliaments”. The project and the findings of the analysis of the cooperation between parliaments and supreme auditing institutions were presented by SIGMA experts and the President of the State Audit Institution Dr Dusko Pejovic.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic and was attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Srbislav Filipovic, Goran Kovacevic, Zoran Bojanic, Sonja Vlahovic, Dr Milorad Mijatovic, Milan Lapcevic, Dusko Tarbuk, Vojislav Vujic, Snezana R. Petrovic, Zoran Despotovic and Ivan Manojlovic.
