National Day of Serbia and 170th anniversary of the Sretenje Constitution
The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, attended ceremonies held in Kragujevac to mark 15 February, the National Day of Serbia, and the 170th anniversary of the adoption of the Sretenje Constitution, adopted in 1835 on the day of the Visitation of the Virgin (Sretenje in the calendar of the Serbian Orthodox Church).

46th session of the Administrative Committee
At the session of the Administrative Committee held on 16 February, members of the Committee by a majority of votes upheld the proposal for amending the agenda of the session to include discussing an analysis of the implementation of the Act on Salaries at State Bodies and Public Services.

Roundtable presentation of the Bill Amending and Modifying the Privatisation Act
The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, with the co-operation of the OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro, organised a roundtable devoted to the presentation of the Bill Amending and Modifying the Privatisation Act, on 7 February 2005. The aim of the presentation was for journalists accredited to the Assembly to become acquainted with the Bill, as it would contribute to the quality of their coverage of the amendments and modifications proposed.

9th session of the Committee on Interethnic Relations
The Committee on Interethnic Relations held its ninth session on 7 February. The chairman of the Committee, Esad Dzudzevic, informed the members of his visits to Nis and Prokuplje, cities with large Roma populations, as well as Dimitrovgrad, a town where a significant proportion of the population is made up of ethnic Bulgarians.
