The Culture and Information Committee held its second sitting on 24 October. The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairperson, Vesna Marjanovic, and attended by the Minister of Culture, Nebojsa Bradic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Nadica Momirov and Assistant Minister of Culture in charge of Media, Dragan Janjic.

Seventh Sitting of the Finance Committee

At the sitting held on 24 October, the Finance Committee members discussed in principle the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2008 Budget Law with proposals of decisions granting assent to the decisions amending and modifying the 2008 Financial Plans of: a) the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance, b) the National Employment Office and c) the Republic Institute for Health Insurance, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

Fourteenth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

At the fourteenth sitting, held on 23 October, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2008 Budget Law with proposals of decisions granting assent to the decisions amending and modifying the Financial Plans for 2008 of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance, the National Employment Office and the Republic Institute for Health Insurance, submitted by the GovernmentThe Committee ruled that Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2008 Budget Law and its accompanying documents are in line with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Youth and Sports Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia held its first sitting on 21 October 2008, convened, under article 26 of the National Assembly’s Rules of Procedure, by the Speaker of the National Assembly Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic. Until the election of chairman, the sitting was chaired by the oldest Committee member, deputy Momo Colakovic.
