European parliamentarians supported the further expansion of the European Union to the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe as part of the discussion on the future of Europe and the countries that want to join the Union. The members of the European Parliament present also gave their support.

European Integration Committee Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson at COSAC Chairpersons Meeting
National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Chairperson of the European Integration Committee Elvira Kovacs and European Integration Committee Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson Milan Radin took part in the meeting of the chairpersons of the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC), held as part of the Hungarian Presidency of the EU Council on 28 and 29 July 2024 in Budapest.

Fifth Sitting of the European Integration Committee
At the sitting held on 18 July 2024 and closed to the public, the European Integration Committee was presented the Programme of the Reform Agenda of the Republic of Serbia within the third pillar of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans by Minister of European Integration Prod. Dr Tanja Miscevic, in the presence of H.E. Ambassador Emanuele Giaufret, Head of the European Union Delegation to Serbia, and representatives of the National Convention on the European Union. In the ensuing discussion interested parties had the opportunity to voice their opinions, suggestions and comments on the Programme of the Reform Agenda of the Republic of Serbia within the third pillar of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, which will be considered on its adoption by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
