Women’s Parliamentary Network Members Talk to Serbian Nurses and Medical Technicians Trade Union Representatives
The members of the Women’s Parliamentary Network met with representatives of the Trade Union of Nurses and Medical Technicians of Serbia. Dragica Dasic briefed the hosts on the problems faced by women working in health care, and nurses in particular, on the behalf of the Trade Union of Nurses and Medical Technicians of Serbia.
The members of the Women’s Parliamentary Network agreed that women working in health care need to be empowered and that their position should be regulated by legislative frameworks, and that all these problems should also be discussed by the Health and Family Committee. They also said that they were sure the Trade Union would continue to cooperate with the Women’s Parliamentary Network.
The meeting was attended by the Women’s Parliamentary Network coordinator, Biljana Hasanovic Korac and Network members Tamara Tripic, Vesna Milekic, Donka Banovic and Dubravka Filipovski.
