Twenty-Eighth Sitting of the Committee on Justice and Administration

At the twenty-eighth sitting, held on 4 May, the Committee on Justice and Administration considered the Conclusion of the National Assembly Privatisation Committee recommending that the Committee on Justice and Administration consider, within its jurisdiction, the issue of the group of citizens engaged in litigation against PE “Boreli” from Belgrade for their right of ownership over the premises bought from company “Borovo” from Vukovar.



At the twenty-eighth sitting, held on 4 May, the Committee on Justice and Administration considered the Conclusion of the National Assembly Privatisation Committee recommending that the Committee on Justice and Administration consider, within its jurisdiction, the issue of the group of citizens engaged in litigation against PE “Boreli” from Belgrade for their right of ownership over the premises bought from company “Borovo” from Vukovar.

At the sitting they exchanged opinions on the issue and proposed conclusions on the need to reexamine the Ordinance on protection of property and shares of enterprises with seat on the territory of ex-Republics of SFRY, adding that courts need to act more efficiently in these cases.

The Committee members will vote on the conclusions at the next Committee sitting.

In addition to the Committee members, Privatisation Committee Chairman Miolan Nikolic, Deputy Ombudsman Milos Jankovic, Assistant Minister of Justice Vojkan Simic and representatives of the litigating citizen’s group also took part in the sitting.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Deputy Chairman Miroslav Petrovic and Committee member Judita Popovic.
