At the sitting held on 7 April, the Privatisation Committee considered and accepted the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Reports on the Activities of the Privatisation Agency for February 2010 and on the Activities of the Republic of Serbia Share Fund for February 2010, as well as the Privatisation Agency’s Work Programme for March 2010.

In addition, the Committee discussed and accepted the Privatisation Agency’s Information on broken contracts and sale of public capital by public tender and public competition, on the dates and grounds for breaking contracts since the beginning of the privatisation process.

The Committee considered the Privatisation Agency’s Information on the privatisation of several companies from Prijepolje: PE Polimljetrans, PE Trogopek, PE Iris, FAP Livnica d.o.o., AD Autokuca, UTP Putnik Prijepolje, PE Jasen, as well as on the fulfillment of obligations undertaken by the buyers under the sale contracts of GP Rad, PE Urbanism and Project Institute and TP Inex Sokolica. In addition, they also considered the Information of the Republic of Serbia Share Fund on the status and situation of SP Milesevo, AD Javor and TK Ljubisa Miodragovic from Prijepolje.

Considering that unsuccessful privatisations had resulted in a drop in and cessation of the business dealings and non-fulfillment of the obligations to the workers or dismissals, the representatives of these companies and local self-government who attended the sitting made numerous objections to the privatisation. They pointed out the dire social problems the municipality suffered after the unsuccessful privatisation.

The Committee members discussed the prospects for reviving some of the companies through state subsidies, finding business partners and similar.

The sitting was chaired by Milan Nikolic, Committee Chairman.
