Thirteenth Sitting of the Committee on Labour, Ex-Servicemen’s and Social Issues

At the thirteenth sitting, held on 13 July, the Committee on Labour, Ex-Servicemen’s and Social Issues considered the amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Labour Law.



At the thirteenth sitting, held on 13 July, the Committee on Labour, Ex-Servicemen’s and Social Issues considered the amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Labour Law. The sitting was chaired by Meho Omerovic, Committee Chairman.

Out of the seven amendments the deputies had submitted to the Bill, the Committee accepted only the amendment made by deputy Milisav Petronijevic, which was also endorsed by the Government. The amendment proposes that, in the process of sending an employee on paid leave for a period of more than 45 working days, the minister request the opinion of a representative union of the appropriate branch or industry, founded on the republican level. Explanation of the amendment states that by sending an employee on paid leave decreases his labour rights and making the opinion of the union dealing with the rights of workers necessary.
