Sixty-Fifth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

At the sitting held on 26 October, the Legislative Committee unanimously adopted a Decision on the creation of a Task Group for the preparation of the Proposal of Uniform Methodological Rules for Legislative Drafting.



At the sitting held on 26 October, the Legislative Committee unanimously adopted a Decision on the creation of a Task Group for the preparation of the Proposal of Uniform Methodological Rules for Legislative Drafting.

Regarding the estimation of constitutionality of article 4, articles 9 through 25, article 27, article 29 paragraph 2, article 31 paragraphs 2 through 4, article 32 paragraphs 3 to 5, articles 40 and 43 of the Law on Churches and Religious Communities, the Committee unanimously ruled to forward the following answer i.e. opinion to the Constitutional Court: the listed legal provisions do not contradict the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.

Regarding the request to estimate the constitutionality of the provisions of articles 18, 21 and 22 of the Law on Maintenance of Residential Buildings, the Committee decided to inform the Constitutional Court of its opinion that the disputed provisions do not contradict the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.

At the sitting, the Legislative Committee discussed six judicial Bills in principle: amending and modifying the Law on Organisation of Courts, amending the Law on Judges, amending and modifying the Law on Public Prosecution, amending and modifying the Law on Organisation and Jurisdiction of Government Authorities in War Crime Proceedings, amending and modifying the Law on Organisation and Jurisdiction of Government Authorities in Suppression of High Technology Crime and the Bill on the Judicial Academy.

The Committee unanimously declared that the Bills adhered to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members went on to hear the explanations of the Bills on the agenda for the Second Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly, submitted by competent ministry representatives. It was agreed that the Committee should vote on them at the next sitting.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Bosko Ristic.
