Sixth Sitting of the Industry Committee

At the sixth sitting, held on 12 November, the Industry Committee members discussed the Bill on Pipeline Transport of Gas and Liquid Hydrocarbons and Distribution of Gas Hydrocarbons, as well as the 2009 financial plan of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia.



At the sixth sitting, held on 12 November, the Industry Committee members discussed the Bill on Pipeline Transport of Gas and Liquid Hydrocarbons and Distribution of Gas Hydrocarbons, as well as the 2009 financial plan of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Milorad Buha, and attended by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Mining, Nikola Rajakovic and associates, and, on the behalf of the Energy Agency, Council President Ljubo Matic and Aca Markovic, Council member.

The Bill on Pipeline Transport of Gas and Liquid Hydrocarbons and Distribution of Gas Hydrocarbons was briefly outlined for the Committee members by the Ministry representatives stressing that the reason for passing the Bill is to ensure a safe and secure transport of gaseous and liquid hydrocarbons, as well as align it with the Energy Law and European standards. The Committee members accepted the Bill in principle by a majority of votes.

The Energy Agency’s 2009 financial plan was presented to the Committee by the President of the Agency Council, Ljubo Macic. He briefed the Committee members on the Agency’s work so far, its responsibilities and business results. Also, in the discussion opinions were exchanged on the formation of the price of natural gas, as well as on the issues of import and export of electricity. The Committee members accepted the Proposal of the Decision on Granting Assent to the Energy Agency’s 2009 Financial Plan, by a majority of votes, with Committee member Vladan Batic’s reserved opinion.
