State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Vuk Djokovic briefed the Committee on the Bills saying that 2008 saw the first audit of the final budget statement and that after the audit control of the final budget statement for 2009 the State Audit Institution’s (DRI) comments were included into the Bill.

In a short discussion, the Committee members reminded that the Committee had reviewed the audit reports of the 2008 and 2009 final budget statements after which they accepted the Bills on the final budget statement of the Republic of Serbiafor 2008 and 2009, in principle, by a majority of votes.

State Secretary Djokovic also presented the consolidated reports of the Republic of Serbia for 2008 and 2009 stressing that they proceed from the final budget statements and in essence provide a general overview of the reports on the republic budget, Pension and Disability Fund, National Employment Service and health care fund.

Following a debate, the Committee members noted that the consolidated reports of the Republic of Serbia for 2008 and 2009 have been reviewed.

In the continuation, the Committee members were interested to know whether the DRI had started the audit of the 2010 final budget statement on which they were briefed by DRI Council member Zoran Tamas. The DRI started the audit in the ministries, as well as the National Employment Service in March. The audit of the 2010 final budget statement will begin in June this year after the Ministry of Finance has submitted its draft law.
