The Committee on Labour, Ex-Servicemen’s and Social Issues held its seventh sitting on 18 March under the chairmanship of Meho Omerovic, Committee Chairman. The sitting was attended by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Zoran Martinovic and the head of the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Marija Vujinovic.

The Committee members discussed the Anti-Discrimination Bill, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, in principle. On the behalf of the submitters, the State Secretary at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Zoran Martinovic, briefly outlined the Bill for the Committee members.

Following the discussion, the Committee decided, by a majority of votes, to propose that the National Assembly adopt the Anti-Discrimination Bill in principle. Deputy Zlata Djeric, Committee member, reserved her opinion.
