Security Services Control Committee Chairperson Talks to Representatives of OSCE Mission to Serbia and National Defence School
The Chairperson of the Security Services Control Committee, Jadranka Joksimovic, and National Assembly Deputy Secretary General Mladen Mladenovic met with the acting head of the Democratisation Department of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Karin Wagner, and representatives of the Military Academy headed by Colonel Mile Jelic, chief of the National Defence School.
Jadranka Joksimovic thanked the representatives of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, for their support in the empowerment and development of the control and oversight capacities of the Security Services Control Committee, endorsing the initiative of the OSCE Mission’s Democratisation Department to launch a specialized course on supervision of the defence and security sector for the MPs and National Assembly Support Service staff to be realised at the Military Academy in cooperation with the National Defence School.
The representatives of the OSCE Mission and National Defence School informed the officials about the upcoming activities planned for the realisation of this project. A feasibility study and a preliminary course programme are supposed to be drafted by the end of November, tailor-made to suit the needs of the MPs the course is primarily intended for.
