At the sitting held on 16 July the Finance Committee discussed in principle the set of bills on the confirmation of international financial agreements included in the agenda for the Fourth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2008. The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairperson Jorgovanka Tabakovic. The sitting was attended by Dijana Dragutinovic, Minister of Finance.

The Committee members discussed in principle the Bill on the confirmation of the Loan Agreement (“Regional Development of Bor” project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Bill on the confirmation of the Contract of Guarantee between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank “Gazela Bridge Rehabilitation”, the Bill on the confirmation of the Contract of Guarantee between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank Rehabilitation of roads and bridges –B2, as well as the Bill on the confirmation of the Loan Agreement (“Additional financing for the traffic reconstruction project”) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The Committee members discussed, also in principle, the Bill on the confirmation of the Loan Agreement (“Additional financing for the rehabilitation of the irrigation systems project”) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Bill on the confirmation of the Loan Agreement (“Additional financing for the energy efficiency project for Serbia”) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Bill on the confirmation of the Financing Agreement (“Additional financing for the energy efficiency project for Serbia”) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Development Association, the Bill on the confirmation of the Financing Agreement (“Regional development of Bor” project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Development Association, the Bill on the confirmation of the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank for the Clinical Centres/A project, the Bill on the confirmation of the Donation Agreement from the Global Environmental Protection Fund (“Transitional agriculture reform project”) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as the Agency for the implementation of the Global Environmental Protection Fund and the Bill on the confirmation of the Loan Agreement (“Transitional agriculture reform project”) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The Committee conducted a joint discussion on all the items on the agenda. Following the Minister of Finance’s elaboration, by a majority of votes, with the Committee Chairperson Jorgovanka Tabakovic’s reserved opinion, the Committee members accepted in principle all the bills on the confirmation of international financial agreements and forwarded them to the National Assembly for adoption.
