The Declaration demonstrates the two countries’ firm and long-term commitment to the development of best political, economic and cultural relations.
The signing of the Declaration creates all the conditions necessary for the further development of economic cooperation between Serbia and Russia.
I expect the Declaration to prompt both new investments by Russian companies into Serbia and a more visible presence of Serbian companies on the Russian market. I would like to remind you that Serbia is the only country in the world to have a free trade agreement with the customs union made up of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. We are talking about a market covering more than 200 million people to which we can export all of our domestic products customs tax free.
Entering this market offers our economy a unique chance for recuperation”.
