Petitions and Proposals Committee Chairman Visits Raca
The Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals visited the YURA Corporation in Raca today. The reason for the visit was the petition submitted by 13 of the company’s employees complaining of the corporation owner who, according to them, forbade them to unionise.
The Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals visited the YURA Corporation in Raca today. The reason for the visit was the petition submitted by 13 of the company’s employees complaining of the corporation owner who, according to them, forbade them to unionise. When the employees tried to form a union the employer fired them.
In the meeting with the owner and factory representatives Committee Chairman Sasa Dujovic pointed out the employees’ legal right to unionise and the duty of both domestic and foreign investors to comply with the laws of the country they reside and do business in.
