National Assembly Speaker at IPU Assembly

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic will speak today at the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, held this year in Switzerland (Geneva), from 23 to 27 March. The theme of this year's assembly is "Parliamentary diplomacy: Building bridges for peace and understanding".

The Inter-Parliamentary Union is the oldest international parliamentary organisation and represents the largest forum of parliamentarians conducting dialogue on peace and cooperation among nations and which nurtures and improves the concept of representative democracy, establishes contacts and discusses issues of international importance.

This year's assembly will be organised at its headquarters in Geneva, and as a reminder, Serbia hosted the Union’s 141st Assembly in 2019.
