MA Jadranka Jovanovic Takes Part in Meeting of Heads of Delegations to Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie

Head of the standing delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie MA Jadranka Jovanovic took part in the meeting of heads of delegations to the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF) in Paris, 2 June 2023.

The participants were welcomed by Jean-Charles Luperto, APF Europe’s Charge de mission, and Amelia Lakrafi, Head of the French Delegation to APF. The participants were addressed by David Songhulashvili, Head of the Georgian delegation, on of the upcoming session of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie in Tbilisi, 4 to 8 July 2023.

The participants of the meeting discussed a report on the situation in the countries bordering Ukraine and were addressed by the deputy head of the Moldovan delegation. The Head of the National Assembly standing delegation MA Jadranka Jovanovic stressed that the Republic of Serbia strongly supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, calling for respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia and informing the participants of the meeting about current events in Kosovo-Metohija. She said that Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija are exposed to constant terror by the Pristina authorities and condemned the armed attack by special police forces on unarmed protesters.
The participants of the meeting also exchanged opinions on the upcoming APF Regional Assembly in Athens in September 2023, as well as the APF’s future work topics. The parliamentarians also discussed the fight against fake news with Mr. Yves Bigot, president of TV5 Monde, and representatives of the Association of Francophone Journalists.

The meeting was attended by the heads of the delegations of France, Belgium, Switzerland, Armenia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, North Macedonia, Albania, Monaco, Poland, Moldova and Serbia, as well as the island of Jersey and the Swiss cantons of Jura, Valais and Vaud.
