High Judicial Council and High Prosecutorial Council Members Elected

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic convened the second sitting of the Commission for the election of member of the High Judicial Council and the High Prosecutorial Council for Monday, 8 May 2023, where the Commission members adopted the Decision on the election of members of the High Judicial Council and the High Prosecutorial Council.

The council members were elected after the Commission reviewed the applications of the candidates that meet the requirements for the election of members of the High Judicial Council and the High Prosecutorial Council, supplied by the National Assembly’s Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government.

Following a roll call and individual vote cast by the Commission members for each proposed candidate, the Commission adopted the Decision on the election of three members of the High Judicial Council and Decision on the election of four members of the High Prosecutorial Council. Srdjan Stefanovic, Nikola Bodiroga and Jelena Vuckovic, were elected members of the High Judicial Council, while Dr Miroslav Djordjevic, Predrag Cetkovic, Jelena Glusica and Vladimir Simic were elected members of the High Prosecutorial Council.
