Great interest in old Serbian book exhibition

An exhibition of old Serbian books from the National Assembly’s library collection was organised at Assembly House as part of European Heritage Days.

An exhibition of old Serbian books from the National Assembly’s library collection was organised at Assembly House as part of European Heritage Days.

The exhibition excited a great deal of public interest, and was seen by about a thousand visitors from 9 to 15 September. According to statistics kept by the Belgrade Tourist Organisation and the Assembly Support Service, Assembly House was visited by 12 groups of visitors, five groups of students and teachers (three from outside Belgrade), three groups of foreign diplomats, the G17 Plus Deputies’ Group, and members of the Poverty Reduction Committee.

This is the third time the National Assembly has taken part in European Heritage Days. Like in previous years, the exhibition was accompanied by a monograph, published in co-operation with the National Library and the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
