Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) National Branch Holds Fourth Meeting

Today, the National Assembly House hosted the fourth meeting of the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) National Branch to discuss the activity plan of the global organisation’s National Branch in the upcoming period.

Zoran Stojiljkovic, professor at the Belgrade Faculty of Political Science, listed four workshop topics for the GOPAC National Branch members, to be held before the end of 2013.
The GOPAC National Branch members went on to discuss the invitation for the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption in Serbia to take part in the Global Organisation’s Fifth Forum in Panama, on 27 November 2013, and agreed that, considering that the GOPAC National Branch was founded quite recently, it would not take part in the organisation’s forum.
At the meeting, the GOPAC National Branch members also spoke with the Director of the Ministry of Finance Money Laundering Prevention Directorate Aleksandar Vujicic about the Directorate’s work and scope and possible cooperation with the GOPAC National Branch.

The foundation of the GOPAC branch in Serbia was supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Serbia office, thanks to a donation of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) as part of project Strengthening the Oversight Role and Transparency of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
