The Youth and Sports Committee held its fourth sitting on 14 November 2008. The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Milan Vuckovic, and attended by Deputy Prime Minister and President of Universiade 2009 Organising Committee, Bozidar Djelic, General Director of Universiade 2009, Zoran Jovanovic and President of the Executive Board of Universiade 2009, Nebojsa Ilic and associates.

Deputy Prime Minister Djelic informed the Committee on the activities to date on the organisation of the 2009 Universiade in Belgrade and presented the plans and projects for the upcoming period concerning the preparation of the biggest student sports manifestation. Djelic stressed that some savings have been made on the Universiade organisational costs and that the organisation team will manage to complete all the planned preparations, so that Serbia can be the host of the 25^th jubilee Universiade from 1 to 12 July 2009, which will gather about 9 000 students from around the world.

The Committee members went on to state their opinions and proposals concerning the organisation of the Univerisade in Belgrade.
