Fourth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

At the sitting held on 15 July under the chairmanship of Vlatko Ratkovic, the Legislative Committee discussed all the Bills included in the agenda of the Fourth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2008.After hearing the statements of reason for submitting the Proposal of the Resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on the continuity of state policy towards Kosovo-Metohija expressed by the representative of the submitters, Goran Bogdanovic, Minister for Kosovo-Metohija, the Committee deemed, with seven reserved opinions, that the proposed act is in agreement with the Serbian Constitution and legal order.



At the sitting held on 15 July under the chairmanship of Vlatko Ratkovic, the Legislative Committee discussed all the Bills included in the agenda of the Fourth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2008.

After hearing the statements of reason for submitting the Proposal of the Resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on the continuity of state policy towards Kosovo-Metohija expressed by the representative of the submitters, Goran Bogdanovic, Minister for Kosovo-Metohija, the Committee deemed, with seven reserved opinions, that the proposed act is in agreement with the Serbian Constitution and legal order.

The Committee went on to deem, with six reserved opinions, that the Bill on the Confirmation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the European Communities and their Member States on one and the Republic of Serbia on the other side is in agreement with the Serbian Constitution and legal order, as are the Bills on the Confirmation of the Transitional Agreement on Trade and Trade Issues between the European Community on one and the Republic of Serbia on the other side, the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the oil and gas field and the Loan Agreement (additional financing for the traffic reconstruction project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The Committee deemed the following Bills in agreement with the Serbian Constitution and legal order: the Bill on the Confirmation of the Contract of Guarantee between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank (Gazela Bridge Rehabilitation), Contract of Guarantee between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank (rehabilitation of roads and bridges –B2), Financing Agreement (additional financing for the energy efficiency project for Serbia) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Development Association, Loan Agreement (additional financing for the energy efficiency project for Serbia) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Loan Agreement (additional financing for the rehabilitation of the irrigation systems project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, then Bills on the Confirmation of the Loan Agreement (transitional agriculture reform project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Donation Agreement from the Global Environmental Protection Fund (transitional agriculture reform project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Financing Agreement (regional development of Bor project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Development Association, the Loan Agreement (regional development of Bor project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and European Investment Bank (clinical centres project).
