Fourteenth Sitting of the Committee on Transportation and Communications

At the sitting held on 8 March, the Committee on Transportation and Communications discussed three Bills on the agenda for the First Sitting of the First Regular Session: the Bill amending and modifying the Law on International Road Transport, with amendments, as well as the Bills on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Kingdom of Spain on reciprocal recognition and exchange of national driver’s licenses, and on the Confirmation of the Agreement between Serbia and Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina on borderland transport.



At the sitting held on 8 March, the Committee on Transportation and Communications discussed three Bills on the agenda for the First Sitting of the First Regular Session: the Bill amending and modifying the Law on International Road Transport, with amendments, as well as the Bills on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Kingdom of Spain on reciprocal recognition and exchange of national driver’s licenses, and on the Confirmation of the Agreement between Serbia and Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina on borderland transport.

At the sitting, the Committee also discussed the 2010 Business Programme of Public Enterprise Serbian Roads. Zoran Drobnjak, the company’s Director General stressed that this year’s business plan envisages 51.8 billion RSD of income and expenditure. Out of it, 9.6 billion RSD are foreign loans, about seven billion will be secured by the Serbian Ministry of Finance, and the rest are the company’s own income. He said that most of the expenses relate to project drafting and technical documentation, expropriation and work on Corridor 10.

PE Serbian Roads Director said that the public enterprise lacks 200 million EUR to repair regional and magisterial roads in Serbia and get them into good condition.

The members of the Committee on Transportation and Communications accepted the PE Serbian Roads Business Programme.

The sitting was chaired by Velimir Ilic, Committee Chairman.
