Forty-Seventh Sitting of the Legislative Committee

At the sitting held on 21 May, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle and detail the Bill on Protection of Plant Breeders’ Rights, submitted by the Government and unanimously deemed that it adheres to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia and that all the submitted amendments are legally feasible.



At the sitting held on 21 May, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle and detail the Bill on Protection of Plant Breeders’ Rights, submitted by the Government and unanimously deemed that it adheres to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia and that all the submitted amendments are legally feasible.

The Committee discussed in principle the Bill amending and modifying the Broadcasting Act, submitted by a group of 121 deputies and deemed it adherent to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members went on to consider about 300 amendments submitted to the Bill on Road Traffic Safety. They deemed all the amendments, except for some which were rejected as incomplete, legally feasible. The Committee unanimously ruled that the amendments submitted by the competent Committee on Transportation and Communications (36) adhere to the constitutional and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also considered the amendments submitted to the Bill on General Product Safety and the Bill on Electronic Commerce, which were deemed legally feasible.

The Committee discussed the amendments submitted to the 14 agriculture bills and deemed them legally feasible.

At the sitting, they also considered the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Foreign Affairs Law, the Bill on Official Statistics, the Bill on 2011 Census on Population, Households and Dwellings, and the Bill Banning Manifestations by Neo-Nazi or Fascist Organisations and Associations and the Display of Neo-Nazi or Fascist Symbols and Paraphernalia.

The sitting was chaired by Vlatko Ratkovic, Committee Chairman.
