Forty-Second Sitting of the Industry Committee

At the sitting held on 27 July, the Industry Committee considered the 2010 Activity Report of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia with a financial transactions report for the same period.


At the sitting held on 27 July, the Industry Committee considered the 2010 Activity Report of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia with a financial transactions report for the same period.
Submitting the report, Energy Agency representative Ljubo Macic said that the Agency’s activities mainly focused on issuing energy activity licenses. The price of electric power and the price of oil transport changed once last year, while the prices in the gas sector remained unchanged. As regards the financial transaction report, Macic stated that the Agency’s profit and expenditure moved within limits planned for 2010.
The Industry Committee members established a Conclusion proposal on the 2010 Activity Report of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia with a financial transactions report for the same period which they forwarded to the National Assembly to be adopted:

1. The National Assembly accepts the 2010 Activity Report of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia with a financial transactions report for the same period.
2. The National Assembly notes that in the Report the Energy Agency presented in full the Agency activities stemming from the body’s status, as established by the Constitution and law, of an independent and autonomous body ensuring the implementation of competences established by law.
3. The National Assembly gives a positive estimate of the activities the Energy Agency implemented in the sphere of fixing tariffs, issuing licenses and other affairs, and particularly as regards cooperation with the Energy Community.
4. Performing its control function as established by the Constitution and law, the National Assembly shall follow the work of the Agency pertaining to the authority contained in the submitted report and, in line with its competences, contribute to the realisation of rights of economic subjects and citizens.

In the continuation, the Committee members were briefed on the application of electric power and natural gas tariff systems in view of the citizens’ complaints of unclearness of the items on their electric bills.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milorad Buha.
