The Finance Committee held its fifth sitting on 25 September and 24 November 2008.

At the sitting held on 25 September, the members of the Finance Committee were briefed on the Rules of Procedure, Preliminary work programme and Proposal of the Financial plan of the State Audit Institution for 2009, as well as the Activity Report for the period between 27 September and 31 December 2007. The Committee members also discussed Ljiljana Dmitrovic-Saponja’s resignation from the post of member of the Council of the State Audit Institution.

The President of the Council of the State Audit Institution, Radoslav Sretenovic, outlined the Rules of Procedure, Preliminary work programme and Report on the work of the State Audit Institution for the Committee members, and the Council Vice-President Ljubica Nedeljkovic briefed the Committee on the Proposal of the 2009 Financial Plan.

In the continuation of the sitting, on 24 November, the Finance Committee adopted the Rules of Procedure, Preliminary work programme, Activity Report for the period between 27 September and 31 December 2007 and Proposal of the Financial plan of the State Audit Institution for 2009 by a majority of votes. The Committee members also accepted Ljiljana Dmitrovic-Saponja’s resignation from the post of member of the Council of the State Audit Institution by a majority of votes.
