Eighteenth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

At its eighteenth sitting, held on 20 November, the Legislative Committee discussed the amendments to the bills on Judges and on the High Judicial Council.



At its eighteenth sitting, held on 20 November, the Legislative Committee discussed the amendments to the bills on Judges and on the High Judicial Council.

Out of the 63 amendments submitted to the Bill on Judges, the Committee ruled that 62 amendments are legally feasible and proposed that the National Assembly refuse one amendment because it is not in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee deemed that of the 38 amendments submitted to the Bill on the High Judicial Council, 36 are legally feasible, and proposed that the National Assembly refuse two of the submitted amendments, because they are not in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.

At the sitting, the Committee also discussed and deemed legally feasible two amendments submitted by the Committee on Justice and Administration to the Bill on the Organisation of Courts and one amendment submitted by the same Committee to the Bill on Court and Public Prosecutors Seats and Districts.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Vlatko Ratkovic.
