A delegation of the Volgograd State Academy of Agriculture visiting the Republic of Serbia, talked today at the National Assembly to the Deputy Chairman of the Agriculture Committee Sinisa Stamenkovic.

The meeting comprised Prof. Dr Zinaida Nikolaevna Kozenko, department chief, Doc. Dr Svetlana Aleksandrovna Popova, deputy department chief and professional associates of the Academy, as well as Prof. Dr Miladin Sevarlic, president of the Serbian Association of Agrarian Economists.

The participants shared information from the field of agrarian policy and agricultural legislation. The Committee Deputy Chairman briefed the guests on the Serbian Assembly’s future legislative activity aimed at ensuring a solid legislative base for the development of agriculture in Serbia.

Dr Zinaida Kozenko and Sinisa Stamenkovic agreed in their high estimate of the importance of the communal sector for the development of Russian and Serbian agrarian policy, and in the meeting the participants examined the problems and possible solutions for the revitalisation of the communal sector in Serbia.

During their study visit, the delegation visited the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, goat farm at Cenej, Maize Research Institute in Zemun Polje, and participated in the conference on the Situation and prospects of communal projects in the Russian Federation, held in Belgrade.
